He was known for the role of Homer "Alakdan" Adlawan in "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano". Jhong is one of the hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show, "It's Showtime." He is also currently serving as a councilor of Makati City from its 1st district since 2016.

Jhong and Maia Azores recently marked the second birthday of their daughter named Sarina Oceania. Sarina spent her special day at a fun and colorful birthday party. Maia then took to social media to share glimpses of the celebration. The “It’s Showtime” host’s partner uploaded on her Instagram account several photos of the party captured by Exposure Photo & Video. In a post, the celebrity dad also wrote a heartfelt message for his lovely child.
