During the interview, Atty. Topacio laid out in detail how the narrative of Sabrina may have affected his client, Claudine Barretto and the memory of her former boyfriend, the late Rico Yan.
“Ang sabi po ng narrative ni Sabrina ay naging sila ni Rico Yan after ni Claudine at itinago nila ito dahil nga siya ay s3xy star,” Atty. Topacio said, recalling to memory the statement of the sultry actress.
“After daw ni Claudine ay taon sila pero kung titingnan ‘;yo po ‘yung timeline ng relasyon ng Claudine at Rico Yan, imposible pong naging several years sila, nanay Cristy. Paano naging sila at taon, e, after Claudine ilang buwan lang ay pumanaw na si Rico Yan?” the famous lawyer said.

Rico and Claudine were reel and real-life sweethearts until their breakup in December of 2001.
The following year, specifically on March 19, 2002, the actor met an untimely death, which medical examiners attribute to “cardiac arrest due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.”
Recently, however, sultry actress Sabrina M, in a press conference for her upcoming movie, “Manang,” claimed that she and Rico were in a romantic relationship for years after his love affair with Claudine ended.
“Pinalalabas po kasi ni Sabrina M na si Rico Yan ay two-timer at alam naman daw ni Claudine, kung alam ito ni Claudine ay napakababa naman ng moralidad ni Claudine na pumapayag siya na dalawa sila sa buhay ni Rico Yan?” Atty. Topacio said.
“Mag-apologize ka na lang Sabrina M since iisang mundo lang ginagalawan natin at ‘wag naman tayong gumamit ng taong wala na rito sa mundo hindi niya maipagtanggol ang sarili niya dahil wala na siya,” the famous lawyer added.
He then appeared to give Sabrina an ultimatum for such an apology, which if she failed to do so, Claudine’s camp will take the proper legal steps.
“Will give you three days hanggang Linggo Sabrina M, marami namang talk shows please mag-sorry ka na lang kay Claudine, mag sorry ka sa pamilya ni Rico Yan, mag sorry ka sa alaala ni Rico Yan... Otherwise much to our regret ay kailangan po kaming kumilos sa paraang legal,” Atty. Topacio said.
Claudine Barretto is a well-known Filipina actress who is known for her dramatic skills. She married Raymart Santiago in 2006, but they separated in 2013. Sabina, Santino, Quia, and Noah are the actress' four children.

According to the actress, this is the first time she is admitting in public about her relationship with the late matinee idol, adding that they hid it before for fear that it would affect their image. The actress also made some clarifications about Claudine, the on-screen and off-screen girlfriend of the late actor.
