Regine Velasquez, in an episode of ABS-CBN's "Tao Po: Regine Velasquez sa kanyang karera," recalled the start of her singing career.

She admitted that it was not easy considering that her manager was told that she would not make it big.

According to Reg, her manager was told that while she can sing well, she was not really that beautiful.

"Sinabi sa manager ko na, 'Naku hindi yan sisikat. Oo, magaling siyang kumanta, pero hindi siya kagandahan,'" recounted the singer.

However, this did not stop her, and she worked on proving herself worthy of the industry.

"Pinapatunayan ko naman ang sarili ko sa kanila that I also deserve to be part of this industry," she narrated.

Regine Velasquez is a famous singer and was given the title, "Asia's Songbird." Apart from singing, she has also acted in several films and is also a producer.

Recently, the husband of Regine, Ogie Alcasid, wrote a heartfelt birthday message for his wife. In his sweet message, Ogie mentioned his birthday wishes for his lovely wife. The singer-songwriter posted his message along with a reel showing his and Regine’s cozy moments.

Previously, Regine's and Sharon Cuneta's video showing them stopping for fans who wanted to have their photo taken with them went viral. The said video, which was uploaded by a netizen on social media, showed the two superstars walking while pulling their luggage inside what looked like an airport. Early on, the two casually walked while talking when a couple of individuals appeared to stop them and ask to have their photos taken together. After having their pics taken, the two superstars resumed walking casually as if they’re just ordinary passengers like all of the people around them.
