Cristy Fermin, isiniwalat sinabi sa kanya ng source na daang milyon raw unang sahod ng TVJ at Dabarkads sa TV5

- Cristy Fermin, in her online show “Showbiz Now Na,” claimed that a source told her that the salary of TVJ and Dabarkads is rumored to have reached a couple of hundreds of millions of pesos

- She said that she would not disclose her source, nor the figure given her by the said person

- Nay Cristy then explained how such rumored initial salary of TVJ and the Dabarkads could reach that high amount

- The veteran showbiz columnist also indicated that the rumored salary is very much possible as there is already precedent, citing a big star who signed up with TV5 before for two billion pesos

Cristy Fermin, in her online show, “Showbiz Now Na,” claimed a source told her that the initial salary of TVJ and the Dabarkads from Manny V. Pangilinan’s TV5 is rumored to have reached several hundreds of millions of pesos.

The veteran showbiz columnist, however, said she would not divulge who her source was, nor the figure mentioned to her by the said person.

“Hindi ko po babanggitin kung sino ang aking source, lalong hindi ko babanggitin ang presyo pero daang milyon ang pag-uusapan natin,” Nay Cristy said in her online show.

She then explained as to how is it possible for TVJ and the Dabarkads to receive that much as initial salary.

“Nang pumasok po ang Tito, Vic and Joey, at ang Dabarkads sa TV5 naglabas po ng ilang daang milyon si Sir MVP bilang paunang… ang tawag kasi diyan kapag bibili ka ng bahay, earnest money… Ipagpalagay na naglabas si Sir MVP ng P300 milyon, kayang-kaya,” the veteran columnist said.

Nay Cristy then reiterated the rumor circulating in the showbiz world about the amount received by the group.

“‘Yun po ang kumakalat na isyu ngayon, 300 million pesos daw po ang unang inilabas ni Sir MVP bilang pang-unang talent fees ng grupo,” she said.

She then pointed out that it is possible as Megastar Sharon Cuneta, when she signed up with TV5 before, also received an astounding two billion pesos.

“Alam n’yo po nung si Sharon Cuneta ay pumirma ng kontrata ng tatlong taon sa TV5, dalawang bilyong piso po ang napabalitang ibinigay na talent fee ni Sir Manny V. Pangilinan kay Sharon at hindi pa nga natapos ang kontrata ‘di ba at ang balita’y ibinalik ni Sharon,” Nay Cristy said.

The veteran showbiz columnist, however, emphasized that this is just a rumor and that anyone can refute or affirm her statement as to the exact amount received by the group.

It can be recalled that aside from Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon and the "Legit Dabarkads," there were some "Eat Bulaga" staff who decided to join them in resigning. Today, the group has a new noontime show, "E.A.T." which airs over TV5.

Previously, Nay Cristy also revealed that TAPE Incorporated's Jalosjos Brothers approached Willie Revillame. According to Cristy, Willie was allegedly invited to appear on their program, "Eat Bulaga." However, according to the veteran columnist, Willie allegedly declined the said offer. As per Cristy, Willie allegedly said, "'Matindi ang respeto ko sa Tito, Vic, at Joey. Hindi ko magagawa yun'."
