The group has since then launched a new noontime show on TV5, while “Eat Bulaga” continued with a new set of hosts, including Paolo Contis.

In the Bandera video report, it stated that Paolo allegedly said that they don’t dip their fingers in the issue between the Jalosjos family-owned TAPE and the iconic trio of TVJ.

In the same video report, Paolo purportedly said that his focus right now is on how to perform his task well as main host, and that of his co-hosts, on “Eat Bulaga.”

Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.

Paolo was interviewed by PikaPika and was asked about the term "Dabarkads." He was asked if it was true that they no longer use the term to avoid conflict. The actor and "Eat Bulaga" host admitted it, and said yes. He also clarified that they are now using the term "Kapuso."

Based on the ratings that Paolo posted from Nielsen Phils., GMA's "Eat Bulaga" had an increase in terms of people's ratings. It saw an increase compared to "E.A.T." and "It's Showtime." The actor captioned it with, "fight fight fight."
