Lolit Solis took to social media to share her reaction over the death of her colleague, veteran showbiz reporter Mario Dumaual.

Dumaual died at the age of 64 due to complications of his cardiac arrest last month. He also had a battle with an infection and was undergoing dialysis at the hospital.

According to Solis, the sadness and grief over her friend’s death has been slowly sinking in.

She recalled their fun phone conversations about the latest showbiz issues and controversies. Solis also praised Dumaual for being a gentle and simple person. Furthermore, Dumaual expressed great concern for Solis when the latter got hospitalized for a kidney issue.

“Alam mo Salve late nag sink in sa akin iyon sadness sa pagkamatay ni Mario Dumaual. Bigla lang ng makita ko ang landline na phone pumasok sa isip ko si Mario Dumaual. Kasi nga, never ako tinawagan ni Mario sa cellphone, lagi sa landline. At lagi opening niya' ano balita' at hihingin niya opinyon ko. Dahil yata kay Mario kaya naging sawsawan ako ng mga balita.
”Kasi nga biruan namin kailangan meron akong opinion kahit hindi ko kilala, hah hah. Nagtatawanan kami pag tumatanggi ako dahil nga hindi ko kilala pero later on meron na akong sinasabi. Magaan kaibigan si Mario dahil wala siyang demands. Hindi rin siya iyon tipo na maiinis ka dahil makulit, meron siyang way para sagutin mo ang tanong niya. I can feel his concern ng malaman niyang nagkasakit ako, at alam ko rin kung binibigyan proteksiyon niya ako sa maseselan issues.

“I feel sadness dahil parang paliit ng paliit ang mundo na iniikutan natin. Nawala na si Nap Gutierrez, ngayon naman si Mario Dumaual. Sabi nga ni Dondon Sermino parang feel niya na hindi na nadagdagan ang number ng mga showbiz writer, parang huminto na sa grupo nila. Siguro nga talagang umiiba na ang ikot ng mundo. Siguro nga kailangan ng tanggapin na may mga bagay na nangyayari na wala na tayong magagawa pa. So sad na tanggapin pero iyon talaga ang batas ng buhay. Prayers na lang ang magiging panlaban natin. Dasal na lang para sa lahat ng nagaganap. Help us please, Amen,” Lolit posted.

Mario has interviewed countless famous celebrities throughout his long career. The showbiz reporter died at the age of 64, one month after getting hospitalized due to a cardiac arrest.

Earlier, Priscilla Meirelles was interviewed by Mario Dumaual about her husband John Estrada. She and John went through a rough patch together but she denied that it was something major. The celebrity mom said that her minor issue with John could be compared to having a house with a broken light. Priscilla added that she and her husband are talking and that they respect each other’s space.

KAMI also reported that Ruffa Gutierrez, in an interview with Mario Dumaual, during the mediacon of 'Martyr or Murderer', addressed the issue of bashing. She frankly stated that she is thankful that she actually has bashers. The actress appreciates the fact that even though she is not doing anything, she still has bashers. Ruffa then compared herself with others, who even bare their bodies, and yet they are not noticed.
