In the said segment, Meme Vice kindly corrected the contestant’s remark about poverty, which is, “Masarap naman po mabuhay bilang mahirap.”
“Iko-correct lang natin 'yan ha. Kasi hindi tama 'yung sinasabi nating okay naman maging mahirap. Alam mo ang okay lang na nararamdaman ng maraming mahirap, okay kasi mahirap sila pero nagmamahalan silang pamilya, okay 'yon. Mahirap sila pero mabuting tao sila, okay 'yon. Mahirap sila, pero mahal sila ng nanay at tatay nila, okay 'yon. Mahirap sila at nakakapag-aral sila, okay 'yon.”
“Pero kung may pagkakataong maging mayaman, ayaw mo ba 'yon?” Vice Ganda asked.
To which the contestant optimistically replied, “Gusto po.”
“Yon! Kaya 'wag mong sasabihing okay, masarap maging mahirap kasi hindi totoo 'yan. Mali 'yon, mali. Maling mentality ha,” the comedian underscored.
“Maling ang mentality na mahalin natin ang pagiging mahirap dahil hindi. Maraming pagkakataon sa buhay natin na hirap na hirap tayo dahil sa kundisyon ng ating pamumuhay. Kaya gagawa ka ng paraan para makatakas doon sa kahirapan na 'yon, sa poverty. Para 'pag nakaanak ka, mapag-aaral mo 'yung anak mo. Magkaroon siya ng magandang kinabukasan. 'Yung asawa mo maging komportable ang buhay. Hindi kayo matatakot kung paano kayo magbabayad ng utang,” he continued.
“Mindset, mindset, mindset! Mahirap ako ngayon, mabuting tao ako, pero tatakas ako sa kahirapan. Magiging mayaman ako at mabuting tao pa din.”
The comedian added, “We change the mindset, diba? 'Wag nating niro-romanticize ang poverty.”

Vice Ganda had a fun performance filmed at GMA Network Center. The pre-recorded number was aired during the grand opening of "It's Showtime" on Saturday. Before his performance, the comedian rode in a chopper from ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center going to GMA's building. He was then delightfully welcomed by employees at the Kapuso network.
“It’s Showtime” hosts became emotional during the noontime show’s last day of airing on TV5. Vice Ganda led in expressing gratitude to the Kapatid network for providing a temporary home to the show. Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Kim Chiu and their fellow hosts could not help but shed tears when Vice Ganda thanked them for staying in the show despite the uncertainties it went through.
