He encountered some bashing after making that statement until eventually he issued an apology to Awra.
“First of all, I want to apologize to Awra. I’m really sorry, masyado akong nagsalita nang hindi ko pa alam ‘yung buong story. Dinelete ko ‘yung comment ko and hindi na ako sasawsaw, magbabagong buhay na ako,” he said then when he apologized.
However, as the video of Awra showing him being involved in a brawl in Makati went viral, Valentine appeared to have changed his tone.
In a Twitter post, he said that he was right after all, adding that he shouldn’t have apologized.
“Sabi ko na nga ba tama ako eh! Dapat pala ‘di na ako nag-sorry minsan na nga lang tumama binawi pa, mali mali talaga desisyon sa buhay,” Valentine said.
He also issued a challenge to those who claim there was a “hipuan” involved, with Awra’s friend as the alleged victim.
“Ilabas ang eksenang may hinipuan at pinagtatanggol! Imbento kayo!” the social media personality said.
“Alam ko na ‘yan style na ‘yan ganyan din ginawa ko sa 7/11 wala kayo maloloko parepareho tayong bakla may nagmamalinis lang at may tulad ko na tanggap ang ugali kong masama at problematic atleast totoo di plastic!” Valentine said.
Awra Briguela, or McNeal Briguela, is a young Filipino comedian and actor. His popularity started when he became part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano when he was personally chosen for the role by the show's lead actor Coco Martin. He was also the first champion for season one of the Philippine version of Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids. In 2016, Awra's life was featured in a titular episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
The video of the father of Awra Briguela arriving at the Makati Police Precinct has also recently gone viral. He arrived together with lawyers who would be handling the case of the actor. As per ABS-CBN's report, Awra was momentarily taken out of the custodial facility at the time so that he may be able to talk to his father.
After he met with his father and his lawyers the other day, he was immediately brought back to the custodial facility. Earlier, a video of his father coming to the precinct went viral. As per the report of ABS-CBN, no one from Awra's camp has given a statement to the press. What is evident is the overwhelming support from celeb friends, including netizens for the actor.
