The Bolt Hole Bar, the pub where the brawl involving Awra Briguela took place, released a statement on Friday.

In its lengthy statement, the pub said the unfortunate incident saddens them.

"We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident that took place during the Awra rumble issue, and we extend our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected especially to Awra. We want to assure you that we are fully committed to uncovering the truth surrounding the incident and addressing the issue in a responsible and proactive manner since day one."

"We wanted to take a moment to address an important matter and emphasize our strong stance against harassment within our establishment. We want you to feel safe and comfortable during your time at our bar, which is why we have implemented a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment. It is our utmost priority to provide a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy themselves without fear of mistreatment."

The statement also stressed that they wholeheartedly support the members of the LGBTQ community.

"Furthermore, we want to emphasize that we wholeheartedly support the LGBTQ community. We believe in equality and diversity, and we stand with our LGBTQ customers, staff, and community members.

The establishment likewise apologized for the "inappropriate comment" made by one of their administrators that circulated online and stressed that it does not reflect the bar's values, principles, or beliefs.

Awra Briguela, or McNeal Briguela, is a young Filipino comedian and actor. His popularity started when he became part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano when he was personally chosen for the role by the show's lead actor Coco Martin. He was also the first champion for season one of the Philippine version of Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids. In 2016, Awra's life was featured in a titular episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

Xian Gaza expressed his frank opinion on the situation of Awra, who has been arrested after being involved in a brawl outside a bar in Makati City. According to Xian, Awra may be a hero in the eyes of many, but the law of the land has a different perspective.
