Lolit Solis, in a recent Instagram post, admitted she can feel the love of actor-turned-politician Richard Gomez and his wife, model-turned-politician Lucy Torres, to their writer friends.

She revealed that the political duo would often invite writers from Manila and elsewhere to their place in Ormoc City.
“Nararamdaman mo talaga ang pagmamahal nila Richard at Lucy sa mga friends nilang movie writer dahil twice a year nag invite siya na pumunta sa Ormoc at makisaya sa kanila ni Lucy at anak na si Julianna,” Manay Lolit said.
The veteran columnist expressed her belief that no matter what Richard achieves in the future, showbiz would still occupy a special place in his heart.

“Talagang kahit saan at ano pa marating ni Richard Gomez special parin sa puso niya ang showbiz,” she said.
“Kaya naman patuloy ang suwerte sa buhay niya. At maganda din ang kumbinasyon nila ni Lucy,” the veteran showbiz columnist added.
On Lucy, the actor’s wife, the columnist said she didn’t expect her to be in politics, adding that she has now shown her prowess when it comes to leadership.
“Hindi mo nga iisipin na mapupunta si Lucy sa pulitika. Pero ngayon nakita naman ng lahat na isang mahusay na leader si Lucy Torres,” the columnist said.
She then said that it’s no surprise Ormoc is beautiful and progressive, indicating that it’s due to the hard work of the political couple.
“Kahit si Richard Gomez shining as a public servant. Kaya tignan mo ang Ormoc ang ganda ganda at progressive talaga. Bongga ang Ormoc. Bongga sila Richard Gomez at Lucy Torres. Kaya Salute,” Manay Lolit said.
Richard is one of the most popular Filipino actors of his generation. He is also a director, television presenter, athlete, and politician. Since 2016, he has been serving Ormoc City as its mayor until 2022. He is now the representative of the 4th District of Leyte.
In another post, Manay Lolit also praised Richard and Lucy for being very kind to others, particularly to their constituents. She also mentioned some other qualities of the two, particularly of Richard, which is why he has endeared himself to the people of Ormoc. Richard is the former Mayor of Ormoc and is now the Representative of the 4th District of Leyte, while Lucy now sits as the current chief executive of the city of Ormoc.
In a separated post, Richard's only daughter, Juliana, previously took to Instagram to pay tribute to her dad, Richard Gomez, in celebration of Father's Day. She posted some screenshots of Richard's text messages, which showed how much he loves and supports her. Likewise, Juliana captioned her post with, "Happy Father’s Day Dad! Thanks for believing in my dreams and being my cheerleader." Moreover, many netizens were moved by Juliana's post, and they also greeted Richard.
