In her post, Manay Lolit extolled the kindness of Richard and Lucy to others, particularly to their constituents. She also said the couple would often invite writers to Ormoc.

“Ang bait bait talaga ng mag asawang Richard Gomez at Lucy Torres dahil naging regular na ang pag invite niya sa mga kaibigan writers para dumalaw sa Ormoc,” Manay Lolit said.

She also praised the achievements of the couple when it comes to projects in Ormoc City.

“Iba talaga ang binigay na trabaho nila Richard at Lucy kaya naman kitang kita mo ang progress ng Ormoc,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.

Manay Lolit then said has endeared himself to the people of Ormoc, particularly so that he is now speaking their dialect.

“Duon na nga tumira si Richard at talagang marunong ng mag Bisaya kaya mahal na mahal siya ng mga taga Ormoc,” she revealed.

Richard's only daughter, Juliana, recently took to Instagram to pay tribute to her dad, Richard Gomez, in celebration of Father's Day. She posted some screenshots of Richard's text messages, which showed how much he loves and supports her. Likewise, Juliana captioned her post with, "Happy Father’s Day Dad!
