"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. Tape Inc.'s "Eat Bulaga" recently went back live on air on GMA with its new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.
Last week, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and their ‘Eat Bulaga’ co-hosts had their first lunch together at TV5 Media Center. A couple of live videos showing the said lunch aired on the iconic trio’s Facebook page, "TVJ." Ryan Agoncillo, Allan K, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros were spotted in the videos. Aside from eating together, the hosts went to the said building for some interviews and photo shoots.
The portraits of the previous "Eat Bulaga" hosts, also referred to as the "Legit Dabarkads," graced the walls of TV5 Media Center's hallway. TV5 took to its social media pages and shared a video of the portraits. Aside from the show's pioneer hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon's images, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo, Carren Eistrup and Ryzza Mae Dizon's portraits were also spotted.
