GMA writer Suzette Doctolero took to social media and reacted to the news about “It’s Showtime.”

On Tuesday, it was announced that the Kapamilya variety show set to air on GMA’s free television channel, GTV, starting July 1.

In a series of tweet, the Kapuso screenwriter expressed delight over the noontime program’s new home.

She also wrote a heartwarming message to “Showtime peeps.”

“Exciting ang noontime ng both gma at gtv ah! And welcome to Gma7 Showtime peeps. See you sa gma gala!”

Suzette also recalled the times she worked with the show’s hosts Anne Curtis and Karylle.

“Nakatrabaho ko si Anne Curtis more than 2 decades ago, ang bata bata pa niya noon! Magkasama kami sa Viva dati. Now balik gma ah. Same with Karylle na orig Alena sa Enca! Bilog talaga ang mundo.”

Furthermore, Suzette shared her wish about “Encantadia,” a hit fantaserye she wrote for the Kapuso network.

“Parang matutupad yata ang wish ko na pagsamahin mga sanggres ng 2005 and 2016 ah. Char lang! Wish lang ito!”

Karylle is a Pinay singer, actress, TV host and musical theatre performer. She is highly regarded as "OPMs Showbiz Royalty". She has also received nomination for the "Best Actress for TV Series-Drama" in one of Europe’s most prestigious television awards, the Monte-Carlo TV Festival. In 2002, she won "Best New Artist" at MTV Philippines. She is a regular host on ABS-CBN's noontime variety show It's Showtime.

Starting July 1, It’s Showtime will start airing on GMA’s GTV channel from Monday to Saturday, at 12 noon. The ABS-CBN show will also continue to air at the same time slot on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC. The It’s Showtime team declined the 4:30 p.m. time slot offered to them by TV5 after the original “Eat Bulaga” hosts left TAPE Inc. and GMA and moved to the Kapatid network, where it will occupy It’s Showtime’s time slot starting July 1.

Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Kim Chiu and their co-hosts then reacted to the announcement. They expressed happiness over their noontime program's new home.
