Claudine Barretto, in an Instagram post, expressed her joy at personally seeing again her former brother-in-law, Dennis Padilla.

The actor-comedian is the former husband of Claudine’s older sister, Marjorie Barretto, with whom he has three kids, Julia, Claudia, and Leon.

Marjorie filed a petition for annulment of marriage on June 12, 2007, which the court finally granted in 2009.

While Dennis maintained communication with his kids, over the years, their relationship became strained, which later on resulted in the comedian’s overtures being ignored by his children.

Recently, Dennis reestablished communication with Claudine, the younger sister of Marjorie, which saw them exchanging posts on social media several days ago.

It finally culminated in Dennis making his appearance at an event of Claudine’s family, with the latter expressing her joy on social media upon seeing the actor-comedian again.

“@dennisastig @sab_barretto we missed you ❤️❤️❤️,” Clau posted on her Instagram recently.

She also posted a photo of Dennis and her, together with the actress’ daughter, Sabina, whom Claudine said misses the actor-comedian too.

Many netizens praised Claudine for her actions, with many hoping that it could be the start of a genuine reconciliation between Dennis and Marjorie, as well as their children.

Claudine is a Pinay actress who came from a family of artists that include Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudia Barretto. She rose to fame after joining “Ang TV” way back in 1992. One year after, she joined the popular sitcom “Home Along Da Riles.” Other TV series she has portrayed roles in include “Mula sa Puso,” “Saan Ka Man Naroroon,” “Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan,” “Marina,” and “Iisa Pa Lamang.” She tied the knot with actor Raymart Santiago in 2006, though the marriage later ended in a separation.

During the same event but in another video, Claudine was also seen talking intently to brother-in-law. This happened while the two waiting for the Minister to begin the dedication ceremony.

In another post, Claudine thanked Dennis for loving her kids. In her Instagram post where she showed the graduation video of Sabina, Dennis wrote a comment, greeting the daughter of Claudine. The actress then shared to Dennis that Sabina is a scholar and Santino has nine awards to his name. Dennis is the estranged husband of Marjorie Barretto, the elder sister of Claudine.
