Jessy Mendiola, in an Instagram post, admitted that she can’t help feeling emotional as she edited the reel that she later posted in the said social media platform.

She also expressed surprise it has almost been five months since she gave birth to her daughter, Isabella Rose, whom Jessy and her husband, Luis Manzano, took to calling “Baby Peanut” and “Baby Rosie.”

“Felt emotional while I was editing this reel. I can’t believe it’s almost been 5 months since I gave birth,” Jessy wrote.

She also acknowledged that motherhood is indeed a very challenging journey, especially if one is a first-time mother.

“Motherhood is a very challenging journey, being a first-time mom has it’s own ups and downs,” the actress and celebrity mom said.

Despite the difficulties, however, she expressed gratitude at being where she is now.

“But I’m very grateful where I am right now,” she added.

Jessy then narrated her experience during the initial stages of being an expectant mother and a full-fledged mom.

“I remember being so anxious and worried while I was pregnant. I would always doubt myself, if I could handle being a mom. It’s true though, once your little blessing comes out.. you just have to start navigating through everything,” the actress said.

She said “there is no right or wrong way” when it comes to making decisions as a mother.

“There is no right or wrong way. Some say it’ll come naturally, some say it won’t. Either way, it’s okay. You are human and sometimes it’s hard to transition to being how you used to be and being a new mother,” she wrote.

Jessy then reminded new mothers that Mother’s Day is a rebirth of moms and the commencement of their journey with their kids.

“Remind yourself that this season is a rebirth of your new life. A beginning of a great journey with your little one. I know it’s harder than it seems but you’ll get there. Take your time to embrace this change. This new YOU,” the actress said.
“So give yourself a TIGHT hug, and tell yourself that you are doing GREAT. To all mothers, mother figures, and would-be moms.. Happy mother’s day, Momma! YOU are AMAZING, keep going ♥️,” Jessy concluded.
