Gloria Diaz has revealed during the mediacon of her new movie "Lola Magdalena," and as reported by Push, her own opinion on single moms, wives, and trans, joining the "Miss Universe" beauty pageant.

For the beauty queen, she is not in favor of these women joining the pageant, since after all, it is a pageant for the "misses."

“Di dapat, ‘Universe’ na lang, huwag nang ‘Miss.’ Kasi, hindi na ‘Miss’ yon, di ba? Dapat ‘Universe’!" said the veteran actress.

While she understands that it is going with the times, she still stated that her disapproval of such is just her own opinion and that it must not to be taken against her negatively.

"Hindi, I think they even include transvestites. Siyempre, going with the times, no? Pero my personal opinion—which is not to be taken in the negative way—dapat may sarili silang contest. May Mrs. Universe, may Lesb*an Universe, may Tranny Universe," she explained in Bandera's report.

She also noted that in "Mrs. Universe" there are so many women there who are beautiful despite having given birth.

ABS-CBN reported that the former beauty queen is set to venture into her comeback film.

Gloria Diaz was among the Filipina beauty queens who brought home the Miss Universe crown in the country. The Miss Universe 1969 title holder recently took to Instagram to show support for Rabiya Mateo. The 70-year-old beauty queen reposted an edited photo showing Rabiya standing in the middle of other Filipina Miss Universe title holders.

Ms. Diaz’s video on her social media page was able to catch her followers’ attention. In the video, the veteran actress could be seen doing a workout routine using a chair. The Miss Universe 1969 title-holder’s daughter, Isabelle Daza, then gushed over her mom’s video. Georgina Wilson, Gloria’s niece, also commended the beauty queen for remaining fit at the age of 70.
