Paolo Contis gave a brave and honest interview with GMA reporter Nelson Canlas on the news program “24 Oras.” During the interview, Paolo admitted to feeling sad before that his romantic relationship with actress Yen Santos was “demonized” by their bashers.

The bashers accused Paolo of leaving behind his former partner LJ Reyes to be in a relationship with Yen. Despite the hatred they received, Paolo and Yen were able to protect their relationship by being private and quiet about it.

“It’s sad to say na super na-demonize kami pareho in terms of, parang super laki. Katulad nga ng sinabi mo pagdating mo kanina ‘Oh! The world’s hatest man.’

“Natuto na ako. And aminin naman natin, there is too much hate for me [so] parang sa akin, so what? As long as quiet ‘yung sa aming dalawa, then so be it…

“I guess being in a quiet relationship, feeling ko mas may advantage. She’s a very private person... Sa amin, it works because we’re both quiet with our personal lives,” Paolo explained.

Paolo Contis is a Filipino actor and comedian who appeared in his acting debut as a child actor in the ABS-CBN show "Ang TV". Despite being cast in the popular teleserye "Mara Clara", Contis was better known for being part of the primetime sitcom "Oki Doki Doc". He has won several awards, particularly at the PMPC Star Awards. His celebrity ex-girlfriends include Lian Paz and LJ Reyes.

In a previous report, Lian Paz felt touched and moved by a message given during a Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF) event. This spiritual post came after her ex-husband Paolo Contis admitted in an interview that he has a lot of shortcomings as a father to Xalene and Xonia — his kids with Lian.

In other news, Paolo Contis was a guest of Boy Abunda in the latter's talk show, "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda." The veteran show host asked Paolo what his message would be for his mother. He then initially told his mother that he loves her and asked sorry because he failed her. Paolo said that he promised when his father died that he would take care of his mother, but for him, he failed in that aspect.
