Cristy Fermin, during Cristy Ferminute’s episode on Tuesday, came to Andrea Brillantes’ defense.

The entertainment columnist defended the actress after she got criticized because of her “promposal” during Blackpink’s concert at the Philippine Arena.

To recall, Andrea went viral after her placard asking Ricci Rivero to be her prom date was noticed by the K-pop supergroup’s members Lisa and Rosé.

Cristy then reacted, “Alam naman po natin, mga Kapatid, na 'yung pagdedeklara ng pagmamahalan nina Andrea Brillantes at Ricci Rivero sa mismong concert ng Blackpink ay natural lamang 'yon, diba? 'Yung para siya ay maging ka-partner sa Star Magic Ball ni Andrea, wala namang kasalanan doon. Wala namang masama doon diba?

“Ano po ba naman ang masama kung nagpakatotoo lang naman si Andrea Brillantes?” Cristy asked the detractors.

Nay Cristy then lauded Andrea and said, “Nagpakatotoo lang po 'yung tao. At kapag nagpapakatotoo, dapat pinapalakpakan natin 'yan.”

“Saka, Nay, napawi ang kanyang pagod. Biruin mo, umaga pa lang nakapila na si Andrea doon,” Cristy’s co-host Romel Chika said.

“Totoo 'yan,” Cristy responded. “Pumila siya sa kainitan ng araw.”

“Umaga pa lang nandoon na siya. Oh, hindi ka ba naman matutuwa diyan? Na talagang pinaghandaan po niya 'yan. Inilaan niya ang kanyang buong araw para sa panonood nitong concert ng Blackpink. E ngayon kung umeksena, e ganu'n po talaga e, para-paraan lang 'yan e. E nakakita sila ng butas, nakakita sila ng puwang para pasukin 'yon at pansinin sila, edi gawin din ng iba," Cristy added.

Andrea is a Filipina actress who started out her career as a child star and rose to fame. Her popularity was further propelled when she played the role of 'Marga' in the hit teleserye “Kadenang Ginto.”
