Ogie Diaz slammed a netizen for claiming in his post that the showbiz reporter and talent manager forced or coerced Liza Soberano to become an actress.
The actress, way back in 2011 when she was only 13 years old, was discovered by a talent scout and eventually introduced to Ogie.

At the time, the young Liza was weaving her way inside the modeling world and was doing some work for some print ads.
After being introduced to Ogie and seeing her potential, the talent manager tried to convince her to enter the world of showbiz.

Later on, Liza signed a contract with ABS-CBN and was able to do several movies and teleseryes for the network.
Recently, Liza transferred to Careless after her contract with ABS-CBN expired. She also did not renew her contract with Ogie.
The actress then came out with controversial statements that subjected her to a lot of bashing.
Ogie, however, even though he wasn’t Liza’s manager anymore, stayed true to her and kept on defending her.
In a now-deleted post on Twitter, a netizen posted a photo of Ogie and Liza along with this line: “Gusto niyang mag-modelo noon, pero mas kinumbinsi namin siyang mag-artista” in his caption.

The netizen then wrote her own caption to his tweet, saying that Ogie himself said Liza was “pinilit.”
“Pinilit lang syang maging artista. galing mismo kay @ogiediaz,” the said netizen alleged.
Ogie was quick to defend himself by replying to the tweet.
“Wag mong ipilit na “pinilit.” Iba yung “pinilit” sa “kinumbinsi.” Pero kung trip mong paniwalaan yung katangahan mo, atih, ok. Gusto ko, happy ka,” Ogie wrote in his tweet.
Ogie is an actor, comedian, entertainment reporter, and talent manager. He was known as “Pekto” in the popular TV sitcom, “Palibhasa Lalaki.” He is also behind the YouTube channel “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.” He became a successful talent manager and once handled the careers of Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano.
Earlier, Ogie also defended his former talent from her bashers online. Previously, Liza was criticized after she revealed that "Hello, Love, Goodbye" was first offered to LizQuen. In his 'Showbiz Update' vlog, Loi Villarama, his co-host, also aired his confusion over Liza's statement. This, in return, prompted Ogie to defend Liza's statements about love teams in the Philippines.

The showbiz reporter also set the record straight about his former talents—Liza and Vice Ganda. Previously, a netizen accused Ogie of setting a 40% commission rate for his talents. This was debunked by the talent manager himself, who said he only sets 20% as his commission rate. According to Ogie, "Ganito yun ah, ipaliliwanag ko lamang sa inyo. Wala kaming ano dito ah, na mang-aaway kami or something."
