Xian Lim and Ashley Ortega have answered the controversial issue that has been a hot topic on social media for several days.

The two are the main stars in GMA’s new TV series, “Hearts On Ice.”

Earlier, talks surfaced that Xian and Ashley were allegedly seeing each other in secret.

During the media conference of Hearts on Ice which was held at the GMA Coop Building, Xian and Ashley refuted the issue saying there is no truth to the rumors.

According to Ashley, she’s aware of the issue between her and Xian, insisting that they’re just friends.

“Kami ni Xian, we’re just friends. Siyempre, nakakatanggap din ako ng mga ganyang ano, almost every single day, pero dedma na lang ako. Si Xian din naman, he’s aware of it,” Ashley said during the mediacon.

On the part of Xian, he said that part of their preparation for the “Hearts On Ice” TV series is training for figure skating.

“We were skating on a public time in a public skating rink. So yun siguro mga emote-emote namin, nakikita ng public, eh siyempre magtataka sila kung bakit kaya magi-emote yung dalawa dito. So I think that's where it came from,” Xian said.

The actor and Ashley portray the role of figure skaters in “Hearts On Ice.”

Xian is currently in a relationship with ABS-CBN actress and TV host, Kim Chiu.

Xian is a Pinoy actor, singer, host, model, blogger, filmmaker and professional basketball player. He used to be a contract artist of Star Magic until he signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency in January 2018 and he officially moved to GMA Network in 2022.

Previously, Xian was criticized by a netizen for failing to congratulate his girlfriend Kim on social media. The actress wrapped up hosting “Dream Maker,” wherein the top 7 competitors will get a chance to debut as a K-pop group. The actress was also thrilled over being featured in a South Korean entertainment site called Korea Dispatch. Xian replied to the netizen and gave a message about the importance of not posting everything online.

In a separate post, the Kapuso actor-host uploaded a montage of their many travels. He then penned a sweet message for Kim, saying he wishes to travel to more countries with her in the future. This, in return, made Kim emotional, revealing that she actually cried because of the montage.
