Cristy Fermin was not able to hide her shock and dismay over the amount of fake news being spread about Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola.

In Cristy Ferminute on YouTube, KAMI learned that the veteran columnist talked about it with her co-host, Romel Chika.

According to Cristy, several reports about Luis and Jessy allegedly leaving the country to flee are being spread online.

In the video, the veteran columnist said the fake news is linked to Luis' issue with Flex Fuel and their alleged investment scam.

"Romel, hindi ko alam kung saan kumukuha ng lakas ng loob ang ilang vloggers sa pagbabalita ng mga malayo sa katotohanan na kwento. Katulad nung isang vlog, ang pinalabas, patakas daw si Luis Manzano at si Jessy Mendiola dahil mangingibang-bansa at iiwasan yung kaso ni Luis Manzano," she said.

Cristy informed their viewers that the celebrity couple has no plans to leave the country amid the investigation.

"Hinding-hindi po umaalis ng bansa ang mag-asawa at wala po silang kaplano-planong takasan ang paghamon na kinakaharap ni Luis ngayon," she said before adding, "Wala po siyang planong talikuran ang lahat ng mga paghamon na dumarating sa kanya ngayon at lalong wala po silang planong tumakas ni Jessy Mendiola. Buti naman hindi niyo sinabi na kasama pa si baby peanut sa kanilang pagtakas."
