Rabiya Mateo is currently making headlines due to a controversial post of Nhel, the sister of her ex-boyfriend Neil Salvacion.

Nhel rebutted Rabiya’s statement about Neil’s proposal to her, which the beauty queen aired when she guested on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday.

As per Rabiya, Neil had actually proposed to her, which she turned down because she was not ready to settle down yet.

In her now-viral post, Nhel claimed: “You never rejected my brother’s proposal. In fact, you accepted it and wore the ring before your pageant started internationally. Something happened along the way and you opted to commit a sin during the pageant and you have to own up to that.”

On Thursday, Boy Abunda shared in his show that they reached out to Rabiya and asked for her reaction to Nhel’s post.

However, the King of Talk said that Rabiya decided to keep mum.

“Ang ginawa po namin, Nay, Tay, Kapuso, ay we reached out to Rabiya kung mayroon siyang sagot, kung mayroon siyang komento. She decided not to answer. So that's end of story,” said Boy.

Rabiya was recently invited to guest on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda." In a recent episode of the show, Boy Abunda asked Rabiya about Neil Salvacion. For the first time, Rabiya revealed why her relationship with Neil ended back in June 2021. According to Rabiya, Neil had actually proposed to her, which she turned down.

Earlier, Rabiya’s “life lately” photos caught the attention of her followers. One of the photos shows the beauty queen’s hand holding an egg. In the comments section, Rabiya even replied to a hilarious comment saying, “Ayan nag-alay na si queen ng itlog para sa laban ni queen celeste.”
