Jessy Mendiola, in an update on her Instagram Stories, said that it’s never okay for anyone to spread fake news, especially if it’s about an inborn defect or a disability.

In her post, the actress also remarked that spreading negativity about a person or child having a cleft lip or palate is a big no-no for her.

“It is never okay to spread fake news,” Jessy recently wrote in her Instagram Stories.
“It is never ok to spread negativity about having cleft palate/lip,” the actress added.

The new mother then called for everyone to respect those who have such inborn infirmities.

“Respetuhin sana natin yung totoong may ganito,” Jessy said.

The actress made this post after making an earlier post appealing for help from netizens to report a video and its host account.

The said video allegedly spreads the fake news that her newborn daughter, Baby Peanuts, has a cleft palate.

Jessy denied the claims made by the video and denounced it as a fabrication.

Earlier, the actress appealed for help from netizens to report an alleged fake video showing her newborn child, Baby Peanuts, with a birth defect. The thumbnail of the malicious video showed Jessy and her husband Luis Manzano, as well as a photo of a baby with a cleft palate. A caption underneath these photos says that a supposed house helper of Luis and Jessy spilled the beans about the alleged birth defect. Jessy reposted the thumbnail of the video on her own socmed account and appealed to netizens to help her report the alleged fake vid so that it would be taken down.

In another lighter post, Jessy's husband, Luis Manzano, was seen having an adorable moment with Isabella Rose or Baby Peanut. Luis' mom, Vilma Santos, took to social media to share a video of the heartwarming moment. In the video, baby Peanut showcased her cute smile after her father kissed her forehead several times. Netizens then could not help swooning over the sweet video.
