Paolo Contis has revealed that he doesn’t need his children to love him.

“Hindi ko kailangan na mahalin nila ako kasi hindi ko yun masisisi,” Paolo told Tito Boy.

He indicated that he would be okay with a civil friendship

“To be honest, nasa stage ako na maging magkaibigan tayo eventually. Okay na yun, civil lang,” he said.

According to the actor, the important thing is that they are not angry with him.

“Huwag lang galit,” Paolo said.

Nevertheless, he expressed hope that someday his estranged daughters will learn to love him, but at the moment, his biggest fear is that his children would hate him.

“Hopefully, it will come. Maybe, I have no idea, pero that’s my biggest fear… is for them to actually hate me,” the actor admitted.

Paolo has two daughters, Xonia and Xalene, with his estranged wife, Lian Paz, while he has one daughter with his former live-in partner, LJ Reyes.

Paolo is a Filipino actor and comedian who appeared in his acting debut as a child actor in the ABS-CBN show "Ang TV". Despite being cast in the popular teleserye "Mara Clara", Contis was better known for being part of the primetime sitcom "Oki Doki Doc". He has won several awards, particularly at the PMPC Star Awards. His celebrity ex-girlfriends include Lian Paz and LJ Reyes.

He likewise gave a message to Kath and expressed respect towards the Kapamilya actress.

He revealed this when he appeared as guest of Boy Abunda in GMA’s “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Friday. During the interview, Paolo got emotional while talking about his children. The actor also took the chance to thank Lian Paz and John Cabahug. He likewise lauded Lian’s fiancé and said, “swerte ako kasi mabait 'yung John eh.”
