Vhong Navarro expressed his gladness over the denial of the court of the motion for reconsideration of Deniece Cornejo on the bail grant of the comedian, Philstar reported.

Deniece filed the motion in order to reverse the decision of the court, which granted the temporary liberty of the comedian.

However, the said motion filed by Deniece was denied by the Taguig RTC.

According to the decision of the court, the motion filed by Deniece revealed an absence of conformition from the prosecutor.

"At the outset, a perusal of the instant motion readily reveals the absence of any conformity from the Office of the City Prosecutor of Taguig City (OCP-Taguig). Time and again, the Supreme Court has emphasized that criminal actions shall be prosecuted under the direction and control of the prosecutor," the decision stated.

The decision cited a previous ruling, which showed that party lacks the legal personality to pursue a criminal case absent a conformity from the prosecutor, GMA reported.

In the order that was issued by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan, the motion of Deniece was denied “for lack of merit,” Manila Bulletin reported.
