Ogie Diaz, or Roger Diaz Pandaan in real life, is a Pinoy actor, comedian, entertainment reporter, and talent manager. He was born on January 2, 1970 in Quezon City and was known as “Pekto” in the popular and long-running TV sitcom, “Palibhasa Lalaki.” He is also the man behind the YouTube channel, “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.” He started his career in showbiz in 1987 as entertainment reporter Cristy Fermin’s assistant at the Mariposa Publications. He later went on to become a successful talent manager and once handled the careers of Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano.
Earlier, Ogie took to social media to rant about the soaring price of onions. In an Instagram story, he aired his disbelief that a kilogram of onion now costs hundreds of pesos. He even compared the said vegetable’s price to the price of meats. The talent manager also wondered how to cook “sinigang na sibuyas na may sahog na baboy."
In a couple of Instagram stories, Ogie also posted snaps that show the affordable prices of onions in Singapore and London. He could not help but compare such prices with the price of onions in the Philippines. The talent manager also said he already knew what the trolls would say following his rant.
