Elisse Joson is the talk of the town after rumors of her breakup with McCoy de Leon spread on social media.

After the issue broke out, ABS-CBN shared a video of Elisse’s interview at her contract signing with Cathy Valencia last December 10, weeks before the controversy surfaced online.
During the interview, Elisse said that she does not see anybody else when asked if she sees McCoy as “the one.”
She added that it is not right to leave a partner even if the latter has negative traits. According to Elisse at that time, she and McCoy were trying to grow together to overcome disagreements.

“I don’t see anybody else.
“‘Di puwede na may ‘pag nakita kang negative trait sa partner mo, ‘I don’t like that’ and leave. You have to work at it. What we do now is to grow together,” Elisse said.
She also revealed that McCoy was not yet ready to get married when asked about their wedding plans.
“Really, that is the goal. But realistically, we want to be prepared with the baby. Honestly, he’s not ready — ‘yun naman talaga. We have to prepare para maayos ang steps. That’s where it will lead naman, but no pressure to anybody,” Elisse explained.

In a report by the Inquirer, McCoy confirmed that he and Elisse have already broken up.
The Philippine Star also reported that McCoy denied that cheating caused his breakup with Elisse. McCoy is currently being linked by netizens to social media influencer Mary Joy Santiago.
