Cristy Fermin, ibinahagi reaksyon umano ng ilang nanood ng show ni Jake Zyrus: "nabigo sila"

Cristy Fermin talked about Jake Zyrus anew in the latest episode of “Showbiz Now Na!” published Thursday.

Along with Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, Cristy aired a commentary on the singer’s recent show in San Diego, USA.

As per the veteran showbiz columnist, she learned that some of those who attended the show were not pleased with Jake’s performance.

“Ang hinahanap po kasi, mga ka-Chika, ng ating mga kababayan, 'yung boses na hinangaan nu'ng 15, 16 hanggang 20 itong si Charice. 'Yung bumibirit na Pilipina, 'yung bumibirit na entertainer na ang galing-galing. E ngayon po, Jake Zyrus, bumaba na ang boses. Ibang-iba daw ang performance sabi ng mga kababayan natin sa San Diego.”

“'Yung mga taga-Old Town, mga hilera 'yan ng mayayaman sa San Diego, nagpunta pa naman do'n para mapanood. Pero nabigo sila noong papauwi na sila dahil, wala, hindi raw maka-relate si Jake Zyrus sa kanyang audience. Lagi raw nakayuko. Lumalakad daw na akala mo maton. Bortang borta daw ang lakad.”

On the other hand, Cristy optimistically aired, “Pero hindi po ito ang katapusan ng mundo para kay Charice Pempengco (Jake).”

“Sabi nga ng nanay ko nu'ng nabubuhay pa, 'Basta bato ka lang nang bato. Bato ka lang nang bato, alangan namang kahit isa lang wala kang tamaan, siguradong meron,’” Cristy added.

Jake Zyrus is a well-known singer and songwriter in the Philippines. He was previously known as Charice Pempengco, the girl who made international TV appearances because of her singing prowess. His gender transition became a subject of public interest.

Previously, Jake treated his fans to his mini cover of “Sun and Moon” by Anees. The singer also wrote a caption about the release of his upcoming song. Several netizens then commented on the reel and praised Jake’s nice smooth voice.

Earlier, Jake also made the rounds on social media after he posted a video of him doing his rendition of “At My Worst” by Pink Sweat$. Netizens then took to the comment section to praise Jake’s mini cover.
