According to Rica, her heart drifted away from Joseph during those times and she started to understand why some couples have resorted to divorce.

As for Joseph, he said that he was asking God during those times why his marriage seemed to be hopeless and extremely difficult.

Fortunately, both of them were able to hold fast to their vows to each other to be together through the good and bad times.
