Alden Richards’ and Maine Mendoza’s love team may have been officially defunct for years but not for some alleged Aldubnation followers.

In a video that has been making rounds online, some alleged Aldubnation followers were seen gathered together and shouting “mabuhay” to the former onscreen partners, while raising in the air the candles they’re holding.

As of posting, the said footage has gained 3.9 million views, with 181 reacts, 18K comments, and is already classified as viral.

In the first part of the video, one can see the alleged Aldubnation followers singing the popular Diana Ross song, “If we hold on together,” while raising both their arms in the air with one hand holding lighted candles.

After singing, the group chanted “Alden, Alden,” while others shouted “Aldubnation.”

Finally, an unidentified woman walked to the front and led the crowd in saying “mabuhay ang Aldubnation,” and “mabuhay si Alden,” as well as “mabuhay si Maine.

It wasn’t clear when the video was taken or what the gathering was all about.

Maine is a Pinay actress and television personality. She was born on March 3, 1995 and became a viral hit because of her Dubsmash videos. She became a part of noontime show Eat Bulaga! later on and performed as Yaya Dub in the show’s “Kalyeserye,” segment. Her rise to fame is often described as phenomenal and unconventional due to the scripted forming of AlDub love team in Eat Bulaga! on July 16, 2015 where she was paired with Alden Richards. AlDub is a combination of Richards' first name and Mendoza's character in Kalyeserye.”

Recently, rumors about Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards being married and that they have an offspring once again floated online. Maine, in an interview with showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz, already gave her reaction to the issue and debunked the said rumor. Alden, on the other hand, gave his own statement to Cristy Fermin and similarly denied any truth to said rumors.

Many members of the showbiz media have been defending Maine from the vicious rumors. Among those who defended her is showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin who aired a frank commentary on claims of some Aldub fans about the photo in Paris, France, of engaged couple Maine and Quezon City 1st district Rep. Arjo Atayde as being photoshopped.
