Vilma Santos, nagpaliwanag kung bakit matagal siyang nawala: "COVID got me"

Vilma Santos recently took to social media to explain why she has been gone for a long time, revealing that she has been hit with COVID-19.

On her official Facebook page, KAMI learned that the veteran actress uploaded a 3-minute video where she explained her absence from social media.

According to the Star for All Seasons, she has been advised by her doctors to take a good rest, especially since she was hit by a different kind of COVID.

In the viral video, Vilma shared that she caught the longer type of COVID and even suffered from an asthma attack, as well as a fluctuating BP.

"Hi, friends and Vilmates! Ate Vi here, alam ko po na medyo matagal niyo po akong hinanap. Well, I'll be frank, COVID got me. At ibang klase po yung COVID ko, negative na ako pero ito raw yung tinawag nilang long COVID. Yung nagkaroon ng mga complications, I had an asthma attack, yung mga fluctuating BP, headache. Kahit ano na pong ingat ang ginawa ko, eh nakuha pa rin po ako ng COVID. Ang advice po ng mga doctors sa akin ay I really had to rest," she said.

Adding further to her statement, Vilma said, "Hindi po talaga madali, miski po ako ay nahirapan and I'm trying my very best, still, to get well at this point in time."

Vilma Santos is one of the most famous, iconic and legendary actresses in the Philippines. She has also found success in politics, previously serving as the Representative for the Lone District of Lipa, Batangas. The actress-politician is married to Senator Ralph Recto and she is also the mother of actor-host Luis Manzano.

The celebrity mom then conducted a 'First Time Lola Interview' for the two with regards to their baby 'peanut.' At one point, during the vlog, Vilma shared a hilarious story about Jessy who cried over her daughter.

Meanwhile, Vilma Santos decided to pay Small Laude a visit to her beautiful home. During their vlog collaboration, the two did a fun mukbang challenge together. However, before the challenge began, Vilma talked about a photo she received from a Vilmanian. It was a comparison of her wedding and Small's wedding back in 1993.
