Sharon Cuneta has earned praises from netizens on social media after posting a photo of her son, Miguel, who finally received his first-ever cellphone.

On her Instagram account, @reallysharoncunte, KAMI learned that the Megastar gave Miguel his first phone days ahead of his birthday.

However, what caught the attention of netizens was the type and model of the phone that Sharon gave to Miguel.

According to Sharon, just a few days ahead of Miguel's birthday, he finally got his "new, simple phone" which netizens were stunned to see.

In the photo, Miguel could be seen holding up an old type of cellphone with a keypad, far from that of a smartphone.

"Someone is turning 13 on Oct.29 (and 27. He likes “having two birthdays!”) and got a new, simple phone! All my kids started with simple cellphones! Look how happy he was to finally get one!" she wrote.

Needless to say, Sharon's revelation about her kids starting with simpler phones was lauded by netizens in the comment section.
