Cristy Fermin sa napipintong paglipat kay Vhong Navarro sa Taguig City jail: “Hay naku, nakakalungkot”

Cristy Fermin recently reacted to news that the court denied Vhong Navarro's petition seeking his continued detention at the National Bureau of Investigation.

During "Cristy Ferminute" on Monday, the entertainment columnist recapped some details about the court's decision.

“Denied po, denied po 'yung MR nila na kung sana ay 'wag na pong ilipat pa si Vhong Navarro sa Taguig City jail. Ayon po du'n sa nagdesisyon na huwes, hindi po nila naipaliwanag nang maayos kung bakit hindi dapat ilipat.

"Ikalawa, meron daw kasing nananakot sa kanila, nakatatanggap sila ng mga text messages na, 'Ang tagal-tagal naman ng asawa mo,' sabi raw kay Tanya. 'Ang tagal na namin siyang inaantay dito.'"

“Hindi nasangkapan o nalangkapan, hindi po nakambalan ng patotoo 'yung kanilang sinabi na nakakatakot 'pag inilipat si Vhong Navarro sa Taguig City jail,” Cristy continued.

She likewise aired, “Hindi natin alam kung kailan siya ibabiyahe. Maaaring habang magkausap tayo ay inaayos na po, binabalangkas na ang pagdala sa kanya sa Taguig City jail.”

Furthermore, Cristy expressed sadness over the said news.

“Pero nakakalungkot po 'yung pagka-deny na ito. Nakakalungkot ito dahil umaasa pa naman sila sa NBI na lang muna si Vhong Navarro hanggang hindi po nagkakaroon ng resulta 'yung kanilang petition for bail.”

“Hay naku, nakakalungkot,” she added.

Vhong is a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, singer, judge, and TV host of ABS-CBN Entertainment Groups. He is part of the dance group Streetboys in the Philippines. He is currently hosting the noontime variety show, "It's Showtime."

Vhong Navarro filed a petition in court seeking his continued detention at the NBI. The court denied the request of Vhong, which paved the way for his transfer to Taguig City Jail. Judge Loralie Cruz-Datahan issued a denial of the motion of the comedian on Sept. 29. The judge stated in her decision denying the motion that she considered the arguments of both the defense and prosecution before having decided on the motion.

Vhong Navarro’s legal woes recently became a topic anew on Cristy Fermin’s online show, “Showbiz Now Na.” Cristy brought up the rumors that Vhong sought a politician’s help. The politician, however, allegedly refused to lend a hand to Vhong and advised the latter to seek somebody else’s assistance.
