Kuya Kim Atienza is the son of Lito Atienza, a well-known politician. He is famous for his broad knowledge and love for animals. He worked as a politician from 1995 till 2004. He became the weather anchor of ABS-CBN newscast, "TV Patrol", and also hosted the educational show "Matanglawin" on the same network. Kuya Kim was also a host for the popular noontime variety show, "It's Showtime". In 2021, Kuya Kim officially became a Kapuso.
Kuya Kim Atienza took to Twitter and responded to a basher who sought for his resignation. The basher told Kuya Kim to resign because he did not want to see him on TV anymore. He then said that there is a remote control and he does not need to resign because the basher can just change channels. Kuya Kim, in his response, even told the basher to be safe.
