The Court of Appeals denied Vhong Navarro’s motion to stop Deniece Cornejo from filing rape and acts of lasciviousness charges against him. The CA 14th Division stated that it is best to have a trial to determine the truthfulness of Cornejo’s accusations against Navarro. Navarro’s plea for the issuance of status quo ante order was also junked by the CA. The comedian’s case is not a recognized exception for granting the said order, the CA stated.
