Cristy Fermin came to Maja Salvador’s defense after she allegedly garnered negative remarks from the fans of Maine Mendoza.

The showbiz columnist, Morly Alinio and Wendell Alvarez talked about the two 'Eat Bulaga' hosts during the latest episode of 'Showbiz Now Na!'

“Bakit naman bina-bash si Maja Salvador ng mga fans ni Maine Mendoza?“ Cristy asked.

"Kasi naman, dito sa 'Eat Bulaga,' napansin kasi Ate Cristy ng mga fans na parang sinasapawan daw ni Maja si Maine Mendoza," Morly answered.

Cristy then reacted, “Siyempre 'pag idolo mo ang isang tao, lahat ng maganda, proteksyon, ibibigay mo sa kanya.”

"Saka walang image si Maja na epal. Wala. Siya talaga, ang iniintindi lang niya 'yung sarili niya... Hindi siya makikialam sa iba,” the veteran entertainment reporter also aired.

Furthermore, Cristy believes that Maine and Maja are friends on and off the screen.

“At saka magkasama po sila sa iisang programa, sigurado 'yan 'pag wala na sila at nag-break, magkakasama 'yan, magkakaibigan 'yan.”

“Basta wala pong nagsasapawan. Nagkakataon lang siguro na nagkakasabay magsalita,” Cristy added.
