John Prats, in an interview with Bianca Gonzalez for her vlog channel, revealed that his career took a nosedive when he and his “ka-loveteam,” Heart Evangelista parted ways.
He recalled that he wasn’t that serious with his work back then and everything seem like a play to him.
“1992 when I joined Ang TV, siyempre bata ka pa, hindi mo naman alam. Every Saturday, we tape Ang TV, para ka lang naglalaro. Sa akin, hindi ko sineseryoso yung trabaho ko nun, nilalaro ko lang, until nag-teen ako,” John said.
He then narrated how he started with “Ang TV,” and then went on to become part of the cast of the teen-oriented program, “G-mik.”

It was in that show where he was paired with Heart and thus, their loveteam was born.
However, after the two parted ways after their loveteam was broken up, John said that he felt his career took a nosedive.
“Dumating yung John and Heart era. After that era, ‘yon yung time na I felt na bumagsak yung career ko. Nu’ng naghiwalay kami ni Heart, ang show ko na lang nu’ng time na yun… kasi, di ba, before may ASAP then ASAP Fanatic,” the actor and director said.
At the time, he said he had to be content with a small talent fee.
“Sobrang liit ng talent fee ko, once a week lang ako nakikita at nagtatrabaho,” he said.
John didn’t give up, though, and went on to repackage himself until he became a celebrity housemate in “Pinoy Big Brother.”
“After that nagsunud-sunod ulit yung projects ko and ‘yon yung feeling ko na naging blessed ako kasi parang hindi ako nawala,” John said.
