Cristy Fermin has recently discussed Jane de Leon who is allegedly being canceled by some netizens as the premiere episode of the show, Darna nears.

In the latest episode of 'Cristy Ferminute' on YouTube, KAMI learned that Cristy talked about this issue together with Romel Chika.

According to Cristy, she initially thought that the fight over politics had long been over after President Bongbong Marcos won the elections.

The veteran columnist then mentioned that Jane is allegedly being canceled due to the fact that she was a 'Kakampink' before.

"Pinapa-cancel po siya. Talagang, tignan mo ano, akala natin matatapos na ang bangayan ng pulitika at ng kulay pagkatapos ng eleksyon. SONA na ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. mamaya pero buhay pa rin po pala ang kulay pulitika. Isipin niyo, pinapa-cancel culture siya dahil siya raw po ay miyembro ng Kakampink," she said.

Cristy eventually shared her honest thoughts and opinions over the matter, stating that Jane is not opposing the President or anyone for that matter.

"Ang akin naman, Romel matagal na pong panahon, nakailang buwan na po tayo, SONA na nga po ng Pangulo mamaya. Hindi naman nila kinokontra, lalo na si Jane, hindi naman niya kinokontra ang pagkapanalo ng kalaban ng minanok niya. Lahat naman po tayo ay may karapatan na makapagtrabaho ng legal. Hayaan na po natin sa kanya yun," Cristy said.

At one point, during their discussion, Cristy asked netizens, especially those who were allegedly trying to cancel Jane to let things go already.

"Ibigay na po natin kay Jane de Leon yung karapatan na mamuhay din naman siya. Paliparin po natin si Darna," she said.
