Pia Wurtzbach, in her most recent Instagram post, declared that she has overcome self-doubt about her joining and running in a marathon.

In her post, she indicated early on that she had self-doubts about whether she can handle a marathon.

“Grabe sila. There’s no way I could do that. That’s crazy,” Pia said about the marathon and those joining it.

She said those were her thoughts three months before race day and her self-doubts were compounded by the fact that she was never a runner before.

“It’s only 3 months before race day — and these were my thoughts before I started training and got serious about running cos I was never a runner before, and I couldnt even stand doing any sort of cardio then,” Pia said.

Despite these thoughts, Pia said she had always looked at those joining marathons with a great degree of respect.

“But I’ve always looked at runners with a lot of respect,” she said.

The former Ms. Universe then said that she would be joining her first ever marathon, saying that she had been preparing for it since the late February.

“But here I am getting ready for the NYC marathon @nycmarathon. It will be my first ever marathon & I’ve been training for it since late Feb,” Pia said.

She declared that if she doesn’t do it now, then she’s would never do it, and so decided to join.

“Something clicked over New Year (when I had Covid) and I was just sick and tired of being sick and tired. I felt like, “Okay Pia if you don’t do it now, you’ll never do it,” the former Ms. Universe said.

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, more popularly known as Pia Wurtzbach or Pia Romero, is a Filipino-German actress, model, and Miss Universe 2015 titleholder. She is one of the four Filipinas to earn the title.

Recently, she also took to IG and bravely shared her no-ligo-no-filter look. She was smiling at the camera, hair a bit disheveled and literally without any makeup on. Her photo just goes to show that Queen P is a natural beauty considering that she is gorgeous even without filters. Netizens likewise couldn't help but gush over how pretty Miss Universe 2015 is despite having no makeup and filters.

The former Ms. Universe also shared her latest achievement on social media. The Ms. Universe 2015 titleholder revealed that she was able to go on a straight marathon run, with some walking breaks, of 23 kilometers. She then expressed gratitude to her push coach and to those who cheered her on so she could reach her goal. Pia also said that she didn’t stop because she finds it hard to start and get her heart rate up again.
