Celebrities took to social media and also echoed that call for help of Alex Medina for his father, veteran actor Pen Medina.

Premier actress Cherry Pie Picache, took to her IG Stories, and reposted the "Charity for Pen Medina," seeking more help for the veteran actor.

Another actress, Sue Ramirez, also reposted the same.

Earlier, Alex Medina, took to social media and made an earnest appeal for his father, Pen Medina.

Calling "Charity for Pen Medina," Alex explained that Pen has been in the hospital for three weeks, could neither sit nor stand, and is scheduled for a spinal surgery on July 18.

The veteran actor is suffering from Degenerative Disc Disease.

The whole family is appealing for help.

Crispin "Pen" Parungao Medina Sr. is a Filipino actor who first began his career in theatre. He eventually rose to fame and made a name for himself, starring in several movies and television shows, with one of them being "Ika-6 na Utos" on GMA-7.

Pen Medina's daughter, Japs Medina recently called for help on social media with regards to her father. According to Japs, the veteran actor has been staying in a hospital for 3 weeks now and is unable to sit or stand. In her post, Japs revealed that the 71-year-old actor has suffered from Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD). The actor was also revealed to have been scheduled for a major spine surgery that will undergo on July 19.

Ping Medina has buzzed the online community after he 'publicly begged' for birthday donations online. In his post, the 38-year-old actor recalled the numerous problems he encountered this year. He then went on to mention in his viral post that any amount will do, even if it is just one peso. It can be worth noting that the actor made this post just after celebrating his birthday recently.
