Cristy Fermin, in the latest episode of “Showbiz Now Na,” shared her reaction to Andrea Brillantes being diagnosed with congenital anosmia.

It can be recalled that in her interview with Karen Davila, Andrea opened up about her having the said rare condition, which is when one is born with the inability to smell.

Nanay Cristy then reacted, “Maaawa ka talaga sa kanya. Wala pala siyang pang-amoy, wala rin siyang panlasa."

The veteran showbiz columnist stressed that she feels pity for Andrea for having the mentioned disorder.

“Para ma-test ng mga kapatid niya kung talagang wala siyang pang-amoy, umutot 'yung isang kapatid niya sa tapat mismo ng ilong niya. Naamoy ng mga katabi, nagtakbuhan. Pero siya po, wala talaga siyang naamoy. Nakakaawang bata.”

“Kahit 'yung panis, hindi niya alam kung ano ang panis," Cristy also recapped.

"Gatas daw, one time lalamunan niya ang natamaan, sumuka daw siya nang sumuka. 'Di ba, nakakaawa?”

Andrea Brillantes is a Filipina actress who started out her career as a child star and rose to fame. Her popularity was further propelled when she played the role of 'Marga' in the hit teleserye “Kadenang Ginto.”

Cristy reacted to the reason why there are times when Andrea subconsciously baby talks. The columnist revealed she actually cried after realizing that the young actress did not experience a normal childhood.

During the same interview, Andrea revealed that she always takes three wallets with her wherever she goes. She said of the three wallets, there is one she calls a ‘charity wallet’ where she puts her P100, P50, and P20 bills.
