G. Töngi took to Twitter to express her own take on the statement of Ella Cruz comparing history with gossip.

She also rebuked the young star for her statement that appeared to ignore what other people have been through.

In the beginning of her post, G said that actors portraying a particular type of role don’t have to live that same role outside of the camera.

“Actors don’t need to justify the villainy of their roles,” G wrote.

She then shared what she experienced way back in 1986 in what might be a bid to disprove that what Ella said about history and gossip is false.

“I would like to share with you how at 8 years old in 1986, I marched to the streets, along with countless others who r part of a history you are dismissing as hearsay,” G tweeted.

The former actress then asked Ella to avoid having such views.

“Wag nak’! It feels like erasure. Di Tama!” G wrote.

Giselle Anne "G" Töngi-Walters is a Filipino-American actress, dancer, singer, and host. She is mainly known for her role in “Aryana” (2012), “Istokwa” (1996) and “Luksong tinik” (1999).

Two years ago, G revealed the reason why she left showbiz in the Philippines and chose to live in America. She discussed about it in an episode of Kapuso online talk show "Just In" where she was interviewed by Vaness del Moral. G said that, “Now that I am older I understand that there were things that just didn't feel right.” Kapuso actress Vaness even turned emotional while hearing G.’s responses.
