Toni Gonzaga’s singing of the Philippine national anthem at President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr’s inauguration yesterday was among the topics discussed in the latest episode of Cristy Ferminute.

During the radio program, Cristy Fermin said there are netizens who bashed Toni’s performance.
“Ang sabi wala raw sa tono, kesyo 'yung kamay daw niya, 'yung kanang kamay hindi daw niya inilagay sa kaliwang dibdib, kesyo nagmamadali daw.”
The veteran showbiz columnist then went on to defend the actress and TV host.
“Eto naman po ang tempo po ng 'Lupang Hinirang' ay pamartsa po talaga. Tama po 'yung ginawa ni Toni Gonzaga kahapon at naabot po niya lahat ng tono, hindi po siya sumabit. Maayos po niyang nairaos 'yung 'Lupang Hinirang'.”
Furthermore, Cristy stressed how difficult it is to sing in the said event.
“Hindi po ganu'ng kadali na kumanta sa isang pampansang gawain na nakatutok ang buong mundo. Sabihin natin buong mundo dahil kahit sa ibang bansa, pinapanood ang inagurasyon, sa totoo lang.”
Nanay Cristy also added, “At wala tayong magagawa, siya po ang pinili ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos.”

Toni Gonzaga is a famous actress, television host, and YouTube star in the Philippines. She married director Paul Soriano on June 12, 2015, in Taytay, Rizal. Toni then gave birth to their first child, Severiano Elliott or Seve, on September 30, 2016.
Earlier, Cristy Fermin said she heard an intriguing remark about Toni Gonzaga and Kris Aquino. Cristy aired there are people wondering why Kris has never publicly mentioned Toni among those who sent get-well wishes to her.
