Janine Gutierrez recently revealed that she was turned down before to play the role of Amihan in the GMA fantasy series “Encantadia.”

For this reason, a netizen criticized Janine for talking about GMA while being interviewed for her current non-GMA-related projects.
The netizen added that it was a good decision for GMA to cast Kylie Padilla as Amihan instead of hiring Janine for the said role.

Janine responded to the netizen, agreeing with the comment that Kylie deserves the role more than her.
However, Janine clarified that she only commented about “Encantadia” because she was asked by a reporter about her “meant-to-be moments” in her career. In her new movie “Ngayon Kaya”, the name of Janine’s character is also Amihan – which is the name of the character she auditioned for in “Encantadia.”
“No disrespect! I was asked about meant-to-be moments in my career and I just talked about how this character, named Amihan rin, was the one meant for me pala.
“Super agree na good thing si Kylie yung naging Amihan sa Enca, super bagay & galing niya, lalo na action pa. Deserve,” Janine replied.
Janine Gutierrez is a Filipina actress, model, and TV personality. She was born on October 2, 1989, and her parents are actress Lotlot de Leon and actor-singer Ramon Christopher Gutierrez. She is a former Kapuso star but now an exclusive artist of ABS-CBN.
