Direk Darryl Yap reacted to QC council's resolution declaring him, as well as comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas for disrespecting the triangular seal of the city.
In an interview with SMNI, the director expressed his sentiments towards such declaration, which actually stemmed from a video that he directed where the words "BBM" and "SARA" were written on the official seal of the city.
"This Ligaya Delmonte, this is part of the colorful tactics in Philippine politics. I find it very immature, I find it very elementary, I find it very rudimentary for these politicians to actually take it personally. Well, sa palagay ko mas marami silang ginawang mga hindi katanggap-tanggap para gawing unwelcome."
Earlier, outgoing Quezon City District 4 Councilor Ivy Lagman filed a resolution to declare AiAi delas Alas and Darryl Yap as persona non grata for allegedly disrespecting the triangular seal of QC, which was approved by the city council as per Inquirer's report.

Ai-Ai delas Alas and Darryl Yap, wanted to be declared by one councilor in Quezon City as persona non grata. This stemmed from a video where the words "BBM" and "SARA" were placed on two different sides of the official QC seal. QC District 4 Councilor Ivy Lagman was the one who filed the resolution to declare both personalities as persona non grata. The resolution was approved by the city council.

Nay Cristy, during Cristy Ferminute, shared her honest thoughts on a QC councilor’s statement that Ai-Ai’s viral video directed by Darryl disrespected the triangular seal of the said city. The veteran showbiz columnist then defended Ai-Ai and Darryl and reiterated that the video was a satire.
