Showtime hosts voluntarily raise P200,000 to help survivor of Typhoon Odette

- Hosts of the noontime show, "It's Showtime," pitched in to be able to raise P200,000

- The amount will be used to help one contestant of the segment Tawag ng Tanghalan

- Vhong and Vice noticed that the contestant was not in the usual high spirits, and they found out that his family was just taking shelter at a makeshift house

- Upon learning, the hosts of Showtime pledged amounts until they were able to reach P200,000

"It's Showtime" hosts once more showed how good their hearts really were as they pledged to help Edimar Bonghanoy, a TNT contestant, rebuild his home.

They noticed that when Edimar was onstage, he was not as happy and his demeanor was somehow heavy.

When asked, it was then that he revealed that their home was destroyed by Odette and that until now, they were still sheltering at a makeshift house.

Because of this, each and every one of the hosts pledged certain amounts, ranging from P5,000 to P30,000.

Thereafter, they were able to reach P135,000 and Vice promised to fill in the lacking amount to be able to reach P200,000.

This is an early Christmas gift to the people who he considers as big blessings in his life. The Kapamilya superstar added that he wants to make those people smile and feel appreciated.
