“Nakakaiyak ang humility nya. Pumila. Naghintay. Walang special treatment,” Jodi wrote in her Twitter post.
Taking cue from the voting experience of VP Leni, the actress encouraged everyone to go out and vote, no matter what the circumstances are.
“Pilipinas, kahit mainit, mahaba ang pila, boboto tayo! Ito ang pinakamahalagang people’s rally natin,” Jodi added in her post.
She also advised everyone not to go home until they have seen a receipt of their vote.
“Wag uuwi hanggat hindi nakikita ang resibo ng boto nyo. Ikaw mismo ang maglalagay ng ballot sa VCM,” Jodi said.
The COMELEC has ordered polling precincts to open at six in the morning and to close at seven in the evening on May 9, 2022.
Jodi Sta. Maria is one of the iconic actresses in the Philippines. While already an actress years earlier, she became popular when she took on the role of “Maya” in the Philippine daytime hit drama series, “Please Be Careful With My Heart.”
She married Pampi Lacson, the son of Senator and 2022 presidential candidate Panfilo Lacson, with their marriage bearing a son named Thirdy. Their marriage was later annulled. Today, Jodi again stars in another hit series, “The Broken Marriage Vow,” with Zanjoe Marudo and Sue Ramirez.
Before election day, Jodi was very busy helping with the campaign for the Leni-Kiko Tandem. It can be recalled that the actress, along with other celebrities, embarked on a house-to-house campaign to boost the winning chances of VP Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan in their quest to be the next leaders of the country. In a recent post on her social media account, Jodi was photographed along with other volunteers and members of the community they were having an H2H in. For Jodi, it is more important to get to talk to them personally in a heart-to-heart manner.
Jodi also took time to endorse and campaign for senatorial aspirant Atty. Chel Diokno during her house-to-house campaign. In several photos, Jodi can be seen personally talking to people in Brgy. Tumana in Marikina City.
