On her Instagram Stories, the 35-year-old actress revealed that she has been receiving hurtful words recently.

“So much hurtful words thrown at me today by random persons and ‘fans,’” she penned in one of the stories.

In another post, the Kapuso star posted a photo of herself with two of her real fans.

“Thank goodness for fans i know personally and who actually know me well enough,” she wrote in the caption.

Carla Abellana is an actress and endorser who works for GMA. Before entering showbiz, she graduated with honors from De La Salle University with a degree in psychology. Carla gained prominence for playing the lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the Mexican telenovela "Rosalinda." She is now married to fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez.

Carla took to Instagram and shared how her family was allegedly among the many victims of the Marcos regime. She reposted a message made by one of her cousins, who narrated how her grandfather was detained simply because they owned land that the Marcoses wanted to take over. According to Carla, the Marcoses allegedly wanted their 25-hectare property in Sta. Ana all to themselves. The cousin of Carla also mentioned in his post that their grandfather was among the "lucky" ones who got out alive.

Carla is also known by her followers as an animal welfare advocate. After seeing a report on ’24 Oras’ about E-sabong, the Kapuso actress penned an emotional prayer. Her prayer was about cockfights and other blood sports between animals. The 35-year-old star expressed her hope for these kinds of sports to vanish soon.
