Jean Garcia took to social media to debunk a circulating claim that she supports the Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte tandem.
On her social media accounts, Jean showed a post and a comment where her name was mentioned among names of the supporters of the said tandem.
The veteran actress then called that said claim “fake news.”
In her post, Jean likewise put a sparkling heart and cherry blossom emojis.

Jean Garcia, or Rosario Rodriguez Maitim in real life is a Pinay television and film actress. She was born on August 22, 1969 in Angeles City in Pampanga. Jean is best known for her portrayal of Madam Claudia Buenavista in the hit TV series Pangako Sa 'Yo, as well as for her role as Alvina Montenegro in Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? She also portrayed the role of Karina "Rina" Mercado in the romantic TV series, “The Half Sisters.” Jean has two children, Jennica Garcia and Kotaro Shimizu.
Last year, Jean’s mother, Sandra Panganiban Garcia, has already passed away at the age of 70. According to Jean’s daughter, Jennica Garcia, Sandra died after her battle with COVID-19. Jean then took to social media to express her grief after losing a beautiful soul in their family. Jennica likewise penned on Instagram her disbelief that they lost their grandmother due to the viral disease.
Jean also took to Instagram and made a comment on Jennica Garcia's post. Jennica posted a photo where she was wearing a uniform. The mother of the actress then said that she is no longer a "Manang" but she's now a "Nene". She then praised the beauty of her daughter and described her as "Ganda".
