Megastar Sharon Cuneta, in an Instagram post, said she and her husband, Senator and vice-presidential candidate Kiko Pangilinan, have known each other for 28 years.

She also said they spent 26 of those years together as husband and wife! The couple were married on April 28, 1996.
“On April 28, 26 years ko na siyang asawa at 28 years na siyang nasa buhay ko,” Shawie said.

The Megastar then pointed out that the senator has been part of her life for 28 years, which is longer than half her life.
In all those times, Shawie said they’ve been together through thick and thin.
“Longer than half my life ko na siya kilala at kasama sa lahat ng hirap at ginhawa,” the actress said.
She then expressed belief that her decision in marrying Sen. Kiko is right because she’s been praying for someone like him to be her husband.
“Tama ang desisyon ko kasi pinagdasal ko na ang maging asawa ko ay tulad niya. Thank you Lord Jesus!” Sharon said.
The couple have two biological daughters, Simone Francesca Emmanuelle or Kakie and Mariel Daniella Sophia or Miel, and two adopted children, KC Concepcion and Miguel Samuel Mateo.
Sharon Cuneta, commonly known as the 'Megastar' in the local showbiz industry, is a prominent and veteran celebrity in the Philippines. She already expressed her intent to retire from showbiz.
Shawie and her husband, Sen. Kiko, have become one of the attractions in the political rallies of the Leni-Kiko team, according to Manay Lolit Solis. The veteran showbiz columnist said fans would always be thrilled in seeing the couple being sweet to each other on stage. She said Mega and Sen. Kiko would always appear like teenage sweethearts, to the delight of their fans. Manay Lolit also said that the rallies of former Sen. Marcos and Mayor Sara are also crowd drawers and have been so ever since.
Recently, Shawie also took to Instagram and thanked Regine Velasquez for supporting VP Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. She said that she and her husband, Sen. Kiko, have never asked any of their friends in showbiz to endorse Kiko since 2001. The Megastar said that they prefer to pray for some of their friends to come and to tell them instead. Shawie also said that they have been so blessed by those who would reach out to them to support Kiko in their own way.
